If you loved James’ French and American Adventures, you’re going to love his new show…James Martin’s Great British Adventure. Starting on ITV on 11th February, it sees James travelling the length and breadth of the United Kingdom.
James is accompanied on his ultimate culinary road trip by his friends who are also some of the country’s finest chefs. James Martin’s Great British Adventure is a fun, foodie trip of a lifetime, packed with amazing recipes!
EPISODE 1 – ORKNEY
James’ adventure begins in the Orkney islands, a place he’s never been and is excited to explore. He’s joined by top Scottish chef and good friend Nick Nairn!
EPISODE 2 – LOSSIEMOUTH
James and his travelling companion, Nick Nairn continue their Scottish adventure in Lossiemouth, home to the first RAF squadron and a fleet of typhoon fighter jets. James fulfils a lifetime ambition too!
EPISODE 3 – BLAIR CASTLE
James’ culinary tour of Britain continues in Scotland with a trip to Blair Castle in the Highlands. He’s joined by top Scottish Michelin starred chef Tom Kitchen. James gets a masterclass in Highland gaming!
EPISODE 4 – EDINBURGH
James and Tom make their way to the capital city, Edinburgh with a slight detour en route!
EPISODE 5 – YORKSHIRE
The time has come to cross the border from Scotland to England and where better to begin this leg of the journey than James’ home county of Yorkshire? Here he’s joined by Michelin starred chef Lisa Allen.
EPISODE 6 – LANCASHIRE
James continues his British adventure in Lancashire with top local chef Lisa Allen in the passenger seat Their first stop is Lisa’s home town of Clitheroe.
EPISODE 7 – SNOWDONIA
James’ adventure has brought him over the border into North Wales where he’s joined by the amazing chef Stephen Terry. One of James’ childhood dreams comes true!
EPISODE 8 – PEMBROKESHIRE
James and Stephen are heading south through Wales en route to Pembrokshire. But before they get there, there’s one stop that must be made, to visit Gareth Ward of the stunning restaurant Ynyshir.
EPISODE 9 – NORTHERN IRISH COAST
James’ British adventure has crosses over the Irish sea in to Northern Ireland where he’s joined by his great pal and famous local chef, Paul Rankin. Their first port of call is Giant’s Causeway.
EPISODE 10 – BELFAST
James and Paul reach Paul’s home town of Belfast, where he’s gives James a personal tour of Northern Ireland’s capital city.
EPISODE 11 – BIRMINGHAM
James visits the capital of the Balti – Birmingham! Here he meets acclaimed food critic, broadcaster, columnist and author; Grace Dent and they explore the local food scene.
EPISODE 12 – NOTTINGHAM
James travels to Nottingham, where he sets up his mobile kitchen in the middle of Sherwood Forest and cooks a Forest Feast for long-time pal and Michelin award winning restaurateur Sat Bains.
EPISODE 13 – NORFOLK
James Martin’s British adventure has travels to Norfolk where he’s joined by his good old mate and top local chef, Galton Blackiston.
EPISODE 14 – LONDON AND BRAY
No adventure around the UK would be complete without a trip to the capital city, London. James checks out some of his old haunts, stops in on Clare Smyth and cooks for the Rouxs.
EPISODE 15 – LAVERSTOKE AND GOODWOOD
James brings his culinary tour of the UK to his neck of the woods as he spends precious time in his adopted home county of Hampshire. Cooper has a starring role to play!
EPISODE 16 – KENT
James’ culinary tour continues as he explores the South East and the county of Kent. Here he meets up with local chef and restaurateur Mark Sargeant.
EPISODE 17 – ISLE OF WIGHT
James continues his British adventure by taking to the seas and traveling across the Solent to explore the Isle of Wight with Hampshire chef Lenny Carr-Roberts.
EPISODE 18 – BRISTOL
James’ culinary adventure hits the South West of England with a visit to the food capital of this region, the vibrant city of Bristol. Here he hooks up with local chef Romy Gill who gives James a guided tour of this incredible place.
EPISODE 19 – DEVON
As James’ British Adventure draws to a close, he heads for Devon to hook up with his old mate Michael Caines, who just happens to be a Michelin starred chef and owner of Lympstone Manor!
EPISODE 20 – CORNWALL
Continuing his British Adventure, James travels to Cornwall where his travelling companion is local hero, chef Paul Ainsworth. James visits Paul in his Padstow restaurant and cooks up a true celebration of Great British food!
