Beef Stew and Dumplings
It's a winter warmer and a classic, Beef Stew and Dumplings! Make sure the beef is cut into decent size chunks or it will break down in the sauce.
Coat the beef in seasoned flour and fry in batches in the oil and butter, pop into a large saucepan with the remaining ingredients, bring to the boil then simmer for 2 hours pour into a large casserole dish.
Pre-heat the oven to 200c.
Mix all the ingredients together for the dumplings, roll into 8 balls, pop on top of the stew then place in the oven for 30 minutes.
