Prawn Toast and Fried Bread

Prawn Toast is a takeaway favourite but it is surprisingly easy to make...try this recipe and you'll want to ditch the takeaway. If prawn toast isn't your thing you could also try this easy, peasy fried bread recipe!

Ingredients

Fried Bread:
  • Sliced bread
  • Clarified beef dripping
  • Butter
Prawn Toast:
  • 4 slices white bread
  • 300g raw king prawns peeled
  • 1 egg white
  • 50g sesame seeds

Method

Prawn Toast

Heat a deep fat fryer until hot.

Put the prawns and egg white into a mini food processor and blitz until smooth, season, spread over the bread top with sesame seeds cut into triangles and deep fry for 1 minute. Drain onto kitchen paper. Serve.

Fried Bread

Add a ladle of clarified beef dripping to the pan then fry the bread until golden
