Ingredients

  • 300g fresh spaghetti
Sauce:
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 50g butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stick celery diced
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 1 k beef stewing steak
  • 3 cloves garlic diced
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • Small bunch of fresh basil
  • 500g passatta
  • 100ml beef stock
  • 1 glass red wine
  • 3 tbsp tomato puree
To serve:
  • Grated parmesan or pecorino

Method

Fry the onion, celery, carrot and pancetta for 10 minutes, add the meat, fry until browned, add all the remaining ingredients and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.

Cook the pasta, use pack instructions, drain, add to the meat, spoon into bowls, sprinkle with fresh basil, and grate over parmesan
