Ingredients

  • 2 T bone steaks
  • 25 ml olive oil
  • ½ bulb garlic
  • Few sprigs fresh thyme
  • 25g butter
  • Salt and pepper
Sauce
  • 75g butter
  • 3 shallots, peeled and diced
  • 200ml red wine
  • 500ml beef stock

Method

Preheat the oven to 200c.

Pan fry the steaks in oil with the thyme and garlic for 2 minutes on each side. Season then pop in the oven for 15 minutes, coat in butter and rest.

To make the sauce, fry the shallots and garlic in the butter then add the wine and stock and reduce by half.
