Ingredients

  • 1 round loaf of crusty bread
  • 300g sliced ham
  • 1 reblochon, sliced
  • 300g cooked chicken
  • 1 jar cranberry sauce
  • 200g stuffing
  • 12 pigs in blankets
  • 200g cooked brussels sprouts
  • 100g wilted spinach
  • 3 onions, sliced and caramelised
Sauce
  • 50g butter
  • 4 tbsp plain flour
  • 550ml full fat milk
  • salt and pepper

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 200°C.
  2. To make the white sauce, melt the butter in a pan, whisk in the flour and cook out for 2 mins. Add the milk and whisk simmer until bubbling.
  3. Take the bread and cut a 20 cm wide x 3 cm circle lid from the top, pop to the side, then hollow out the middle of the loaf.
  4. Layer up the ham, cheese, chicken, cranberry sauce, white sauce, stuffing, pigs in blankets and vegetables. Season between layers and repeat until the bread is filled up, then press down and pop the bread lid on.
  5. Bake for 35-40 mins.
