Ingredients

  • 397g condensed milk
  • 400g butter softened
  • 75g icing sugar
  • Few drops orange essence
  • Few drops orange food colouring
Cake
  • 250g butter
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 oranges zest
  • 200g self raising flour
  • 50g cocoa powder
Tuiles
  • 115g butter, softened
  • 140g icing sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 115g plain flour
  • Red, yellow and gold spray

Method

  1. To make the cake beat together the butter and sugar until white add the eggs and zest whisk up then fold in the flour and cocoa, pour into a lined greased tin and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, cool.
  2. To make the tuiles, beat all the ingredients together, chill for 20 minutes then roll out and cut into fire strands bake on a lined tray at 200c for2 to 3 minutes, curl into flames.
  3. Break the cake up into pieces and place inside mini cauldrons or bowls.
  4. Mix the butter, condensed milk, icing sugar, essence and colouring together until smooth and together . Top the cake pieces with the buttercream.
  5. Stick the flames all around the edges then spray with edible coloured spray.
